The New MMPI2008-04-17 19:00 2008-04-17 21:00 Etc/GMT-5 Location is Krumm Business Center at Grand View College on Grandview just west of 14th Street Directions: The best way to get to Krum is to go south on NE14th from I35/80 past Euclid. As you get to the campus turn right or west on Morton. Krum is on the north side of the street at the first intersection west of 14th. There is a parking lot off Morton and right behind Krum. There are doors on the southside of the Krum building. The parking lot behind the Krum building has been OK’d for us to park this Wednesday. It is right behind the Krum building and should have plenty of space. People don’t have to worry about the signs limiting parking. The campus security has been told about the event. Members: Free;(Nonmembers: $15)(Membership $50 (January to January) This months Journal Club will be over the new MMPI. A 30 min panel presentation with case examples and discussion of the MMPI-2 in pain patients will be followed by a presentation by Yosef Ben-Porth, Ph.D., an internationally recognized MMPI scholar. Dr. Porth will talk the reformatted MMPI-RF an new version with only 377 questions that will replace the MMPI-2. It will be a shorter instrument. He will also present the MMPI and Pain. A meeting for psychologist to help develop a new MMPI data set for pain patients will occur after the presentation. This IPI Journal Club is sponsored by NCS-Pearson. Iowa Pain Institute is devoted to education and research in pain management. We are a multidisciplinary non-profit professional organization and feel it is critical to maintain a variety of represented health care professionals within our group. We are not a restricted organization and are open to any health care professional interested in pain and its management. |
